All horses are feeling fully prepped for the start of the season, only a few days to go until Aston le walls with Greenlough Dave, Shannondale Sparky and Strattonstown Smartie.Ginny has been making full use of the facilities at Swalcliffe Park over the last week, going on 3 consecutive days XC schooling, the ground held up really well and the horses were all very happy to be out on the grass and jump the variety of fences!
Tuesday 25th Feb it was back to Addington with Shannondale Sparky, Greenlough Dave, Eires Rock and Double D. Having their final show jumping outing before their first event.
Shannondale Sparky felt brilliant and was 2nd in the 1.05m followed by 6th in the 1.10m.
Greenlough Dave was rather cheeky and got caught out on this occasion but learnt from his mistake and then jumped his first 1.15m, this certainly gave him something to think about and he jumped well.
Eires Rock was on brilliant form jumping a great double clear in the 1.10m and just rolled a pole in the 1.15m.
Double D 's training is going well, he has come on such a long way in the last month from only having showjumped before going to Ginny. He has learnt dressage and XC, even jumping on grass, taking everything in only with the odd confusion. Today unfortunately the pair had a misunderstanding in the 1.10m but he then went on to jump really well in the 1.15m.
