A great first outing for Eires Rock, Creeslough, Gamblers Image and Greenlough Dave.
A rather early start, one of many to come but never the less well worth it!
All a little spritely in their dressage phase, Creeslough in the Intermediate scored a respectable 35 and followed it up with a perfect double clear. He felt brave and bold XC and up for the aims this season. He finished in 6th place out of a competitive section.
Eires Rock in the Open Intermediate as expected was WILD, especially with the XC running along side the dressage, which is already far too hard to concentrate on anyway so a slightly disappointing mark for him after lots of positive work at home and in pure dressage.
He jumped well SJ despite getting stuck in the mud a little and having an unlucky pole. XC he ran well but sadly just got caught out by the influential narrow brush to corner, jumping a little enthusiastically and when corrected there was a slight miscommunication.
Gamblers Image felt on ridiculously good form and felt very happy with himself even though he hadnt actually done anything yet. He did a bouncy dressage in the Novice to score 32 and jumped a brilliant double clear. Ginny is happy he is feeling incredible which is very, very exciting!
Greenlough Dave also in the Novice section was very happy to finally see grass which can only mean one thing.. Time to Go Eventing! He too was eyeing up the XC when infact they were doing dressage but scored a 35 with a couple of errors. He had an unlucky pole in the rather deep, muddy SJ but then felt brilliant XC.
Very exciting for all of them after this first run and Ginny can't wait to see what the season unfolds!
