A long treck up to Norfolk made worth while with Shannondale Sparky, Hamilton, Eires Rock and Creeslough.
The 4 ginger boys were glad to be out again.
Started off the day with the two intermediates, Creeslough did a nice test with a few mistakes and scored a respectable 35.Eires Rock did his best test to date, he remained calm and very rideable so maybe he has finally grown up! Scoring a 32, Ginny could not have been happier. Both boys then show jumped well but had an unlucky rail each which was a shame as they made the XC feel very easy. It is a beautifully built course but with plenty of drops so a great test for Eires Rock.
Creeslough finished 12th in his section and Eires Rock 13th after adding time faults to their scores.
The Novice boys were up next. Shannondale Sparky-Mr ever consistent, did a lovely test for 31, unfortunately then had an unlucky rail show jumping through a slight lack of concentration, finding everything very interesting being back out at a party again. He then did a faultless clear XC, feeling much more mature and stronger than last year to finish 6th.
Hamilton was not so well behaved in the dressage and rather EXPLOSIVE to say the least. He worked fantastically in the warm up but then the excitement got too much, and he was a very naughty pony, scoring a 40, which was rather generous, it could have been so much worse! He then made up for all the naughtiness with an immaculate double clear!
