Ginny headed off to the fantastic new venue and event at Rockingham Castle at the weekend, a credit to all organisers and everyone involved for establishing such a successful event.
Greenlough Dave ran in his second novice doing a much improved dressage test which is certainly heading in the right direction, he now needs to establish his movements a little more to achieve the higher marks. He was scored quite harshly by the judge but nevertheless, he followed the dressage with a fantastic double clear making it all feel very easy and very promising for the future.
Hamilton was a little naughty in his CIC* dressage. This was his first time in an international arena and with Ginny wearing a tail coat, which was all very exciting for Hamilton. A combination of the wind and the flapping of Ginny’s tails was a great excuse to buck. He did manage to redeem himself with an unlucky rail Showjumping and a brilliant clear cross country. Still only a six year old, he has lots to learn but he has now secured his CCI qualification.
Ginny was very excited to have Creeslough back out after some time off and he was certainly on form feeling his normal self. He did an obedient test to score 33, with just the last fence in the Showjumping falling but a clear inside the time across country to finish in ninth place in the open novice section.
