It is very exciting to welcome Double D to the Ginny Howe Eventing team. He has been bred by Euro Sports Horses based just out side of Solihull, who specialise in breeding quality sports horses, details can be found by contacting me direct or their website
Double D is out of showjumping bloodlines and most excitingly, the half brother to Hamilton! He has previous form show jumping at newcomers but Ginny is very excited about bringing on the 6 year old for eventing this year. Double D has lovely movement and an incredible jump, so his future is very exciting.
2014 arrived and with no hesitation Ginny was straight out to Addington Manor last week for their 3 day show and Blue chip Qualifiers.Shannondale Sparky has proven to be a bit of a star on the BSJA circuit and has continuously been in the ribbons. He upgraded to the Blue chip qualifier which was a massive step up, the course was full up and very technical but he coped extremely well and learnt alot ready for his next outing.
Hamilton also had an outing, proving stilll a little green at times but then got back into the swing of things after his winter holiday and will no doubt come out more mature for his next outing.
New ride Double D, had some great rounds despite Ginny not knowing him at all well and having only left the ground once when she trialed him. With a little more practice it will be a very exciting partnership. He was placed in 3 out of his 4 classes including a competitive 2nd in a big class.
Young horse Cavorting Ramiro also had his first ever competition this week, back to Addington again for the evening show jumping, an ideal opportunity to get the youngsters out and about. He took everything in his stride; Ginny has produced him slowly and this shows through his immaculate behaviour. He is showing some serious scope for either BSJA or Eventing and now at the age of 6 he is ready to crack on and excel in either discipline.
