Ginny embarked on a very long road trip to Norwich with Eires Rock and Hamilton to make it to Great Witchingham. It has been touch and go with the weather recently with a lot of events cancelled but thankfully the weather held up and Ginny was able to get a much needed run in.
The ground was brilliant considering the amount rain they had seen in the previous week and everyone who attended was very grateful to all the volunteers and event organisers for the opportunity for the run.
Eires Rock did his average test in the intermediate section, it was bitterly cold and Ginny could hardly feel her fingers during the test, that coupled with a brisk wind was certainly a little chilly! He managed not to get too over excited but the result was as expected and he gained an average score for a test which Ginny tentatively rode.
This was followed up by a brilliant double clear from Eires Rock who made nothing of the mud and really enjoyed himself round both the Showjumping and the cross country. He is now all set for his next run at Weston Park Advanced.
Hamilton was on brilliant form in his second Novice. He did a lovely test to score 32 in the very competitive section. The going became quite deep in the Showjumping and caused many problems but Hamilton felt fantastic and he jumped a foot perfect clear round.
The cross country was holding up well and asked enough questions. Proving bold and brave, Hamilton went clear with a few time penalties to finish fifth in his section.
