Shelford Manor

Back on the road and off to Shelford Manor with Cruise on Inny, Undalgo De Windsor and Danetime Panther in his first Novice.

A pretty impressive dressage score from the cheeky Undalgo De Windsor, a  score 25.8 for him, he went on to have 2 unlucky poles but then a fantastic clear XC. Cruise On Inny, didn't do his best test but still scored a respectable 29. He was having a bit of an off day to have 2 poles also but then stormed round the XC like a pro.

Danetime Panther made the step up to Novice a good one, scoring a 31.5, he then went on to jump fantastically, he produced a super careful clear SJ and a bold clear XC. A pretty good result for his first novice!

Somerford CIC**

Foxy Lady V and About time Too V making their debut at ** level. After fairly little experience at Intermediate for them both Ginny was conscious it was a big ask from both of them.

The dressage went well, About time Too making some green mistakes and needing more lift generally but overall positive. After a winter training he will be very smart. Scoring 57. Foxy Lady had flicky toes on and did a really lovely test which was almost error free just needing some fine tuning. It is exciting with some more work how smart she will be. Scoring 53.

Show jumping was up to height with plenty of tricky lines. Both horses jumped well, a clear from About time Too, and an unlucky couple of rails from Foxy Lady.

The XC course was big and bold as expected with lots of new questions for them both. First out was About Time Too, he is a big jumper and felt brilliant but his scope just caught him out at one combination- a large oxer going in followed by a corner hiding behind the tree, unfortunately just took him by surprise which was a real shame. He went on to jump well around the rest and very much enjoyed him self!

Foxy Lady also gave Ginny a brilliant ride, making the step up very easy. She was storming round but sadly got caught out at an annoying corner for a 20 pen, but continued in great style and is very much ready to do it again!

Imperato in the OI did a nice test and was praised for his good movements with a mark of 32 for him, he then had springs in his feet to jump a great clear SJ and a fast quick clear XC round! Very happy to be out and feeling ready for Blenheim!
